Senior Software Engineer

I build and ship cross-chain infrastructure that stays up under load.

In blockchain since 2018, now working on Layer 2 infrastructure and interchain messaging with Hyperlane — plus the unglamorous parts that make it production-grade: indexing, observability, release automation and on-call.

  • 2018 in blockchain, full time
  • 2 production L2 deployments
  • 40+ chains integrated

About

I have been working in blockchain since 2018, and I am a senior software engineer focused on infrastructure. Most of my recent work sits below the application layer: rollup infrastructure, message-passing between chains, and the services that keep state consistent across both.

Day to day I write TypeScript and Go, run typed indexers against reorg-prone chains, and treat observability as a first-class feature rather than an afterthought. I am equally comfortable owning the deploy pipeline, the dashboards and the incident channel.

What I care about: deterministic systems, honest metrics, small deployable units, and documentation a new hire can actually follow.

Selected projects

Layer 2 Rollup Infrastructure

Lead backend & infrastructure engineer

Built and operated the supporting infrastructure for an OP Stack rollup: sequencer monitoring, deterministic reorg handling, batcher health checks and automated failover for the RPC fleet.

  • Cut RPC p99 latency from 480 ms to 190 ms by adding a caching tier in front of the node pool.
  • Reduced failed withdrawals to zero over a six-month window by introducing a replay-safe indexer.
  • Owned the deploy pipeline: immutable images, blue/green rollout, one-command rollback.
  • Go
  • OP Stack
  • Kubernetes
  • Prometheus

Hyperlane-based Bridge Relayer

Design & implementation

Designed and shipped a relayer for interchain messaging with Hyperlane, covering message dispatch, validator structure and delivery guarantees across EVM and non-EVM destinations.

  • Integrated 40+ chain endpoints behind a single typed adapter interface.
  • Achieved exactly-once delivery using an idempotent queue with persisted checkpoints.
  • Added end-to-end tracing so a stuck message can be located in under a minute.
  • TypeScript
  • Hyperlane
  • Redis
  • OpenTelemetry

Cross-chain Indexer & Analytics API

Backend engineer

A multi-chain indexer and query API that normalises bridge activity into a single schema, so product teams can answer questions without running their own nodes.

  • Backfills 60 M+ events into PostgreSQL with resumable, chain-aware checkpoints.
  • Serves historical and live queries from the same API surface.
  • Self-serve dashboards removed a recurring manual reporting task.
  • TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL
  • Kafka
  • Terraform

DAO for Miss Universe Voting

Smart contracts & backend · Zetrix

An on-chain governance system for a pageant voting process, built on Zetrix. Votes are submitted in real time from the client, queued through RabbitMQ and relayed on-chain by a paymaster so voters never pay gas or hold a token to participate.

  • Paymaster relay signs and submits transactions, so voting is gasless for end users.
  • RabbitMQ queues buffer real-time vote submissions, absorbing bursts and guaranteeing ordered, at-least-once processing.
  • JavaScript smart contracts on Zetrix enforce one-vote-per-voter and expose a tally anyone can verify.
  • Zetrix
  • JavaScript
  • Paymaster
  • RabbitMQ

Most of this work lives in private, internal GitLab repositories belonging to my employers, so there is no public source to link. I am happy to walk through the architecture, trade-offs and code in an interview.
